FREE Resource Training – Starting Right and Beyond – Dayton
|The U.S. Small Business Administration and its partners are hosting a series of free small business seminars designed for minority and women business owners. This initiative is a broad effort to strengthen and expand business ownership among these two groups. The Small Business Development Series will help small and minority businesses to access resources that can help them grow and enhance their entrepreneurial skills.
The next seminar is entitled "Starting Right and Beyond". You will hear from business professional about the following topics: Legal, Accounting and Insurance needs for your small business. Additional topics related to your small business will be covered at these workshops, please follow the links below for more information and registration. This seminar is free of charge, but registration is required. All workshops are from 9 to noon at the Entrepreneurs Center on the dates below. Register to join us as we explore the legal issues you need to know to start your business out right! We’ll cover how to set up your business, the legal and accounting topics that are crucial to all small business owners as well as what type of insurance is right for your business. Human Resources topics include Workers Compensation, payroll taxes, and the difference between an employee and a contractor.

This third Session in our series deals with the all important question of How do I fund my business? Topics and speakers will explain Bootstrapping and other non-credit forms of funding; what banks need from business borrowers; how the SBA works with banks and community development organizations; community loan programs; micro-lending and microenterprise financing plus much more.
