Good afternoon –

The Department of Administrative Services Office of Procurement Services on behalf of the Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections is seeking minority owned businesses to provide Best Practice Programming Services.

This email is serving as an inquiry of capabilities to identify certified MBEs and is not a solicitation for bids. Should the opportunity become an MBE set aside vendors will receive a notice from State Purchasing when the bid has been posted.

Background

The ODRC is seeking to secure best practice programming ranging from meaningful activities for incarcerated individuals to preparing offenders to return to the community and desist from a criminal lifestyle.

Requirements

Program Minimum Requirements. The Provider/Program shall:

1. Have been in existence for a minimum of one year.

2. Demonstrate a record of successful implementation of programming that is not operated by the state of Ohio, and includes evidence that the implemented program reduced violent behavior and incident reports within a correctional environment or reduced recidivism among program “graduates” once they re-enter the outside community

The City of Dayton Human Relations Council is host to the Greater Dayton Minority Business Assistance Center (MBAC). A component of the State of Ohio Development Services Agency, MBAC provides management and technical assistance, procurement information, bonding assistance, cost estimating services and organizational assessments.
